Arima osen is a hot springs town in Kita-ku, Kobe, Japan. Its located behind the Mount Rokko. Arima onsen attract many Japanese who want tranquility and easy to access from Kansai or Osaka.
Visitors can explored several hot spring sources, museum, temples, shrines in this small city entirely by foot. There are lots of visitors on weekend because the place is so close to Kobe and Osaka.
Arima onsen known as one of Japan’s oldest hot spring resorts. there are two types of hot spring waters in this onsen. “Kinsen” gold water colored with iron deposits, which good for the skin. “Ginsen” silver water contain radium and carbonate which can cure muscle ailments.
There are many ryokan in this area opened their baths for to non-staying visitors during the day with ranges between 500 to 2500 yen. Or, visitors can enjoy the onsen at two public bath houses.
Easy access to reached Arima Onsen, take subway from Sannomiya or Shin-Kobe Station. Then, take Arima-Sanda Line to Arima-guchi and transfer to Arima Line to Arima Onsen Station. It’s will takes around 30 minutes with price ticket 930 yen from Sannomiya or 740 yen from Shin-Kobe Station.
Local bus operated from Sannomiya Station (Hanyu and Shinki Bus). It will take time 50 minutes from Sannomiya Station and 35 minutes from Shin-Kobe Station with costs 700 yen one-way.
There are buses from Osaka to Arima Onsen. Take Hankyu Bus or JR Bus from Hankyu Umeda Station or JR Osaka Station. It will takes 60 minutes wit costs 1370 yen. Bus reservation available.
