Kiso valley served as a wonderful area of commerce at the trade route located in Nagano Prefecture. It is called Kisoji, and very important from the beginning of Edo Period. Kiso valley runs alongside the mountains of Central Alps. On thet time, there are a pathway through mountains used as transportation way with 500 km long routes between Edo and Kyoto called Nakasendo.
Kiso valley used by the travellers as a places to rest or eat during their journey.
How’s the food? You will always want to come back once taste tender and juicy Kiso beef. There are sweet fish from the Kiso valley river.
